Pastoral Staff and Ministry Team
Senior Pastors
Jerry and Tina Kennedy became pastors of
Radiant Life beginning Feb. 1, 2007 under the leading and direction of the Holy Spirit.
In 1989 Jerry established a Chaplaincy Program for the United Auto Workers Local 2166
and the General Motors Shreveport Plant where he served as Chaplain for 15 years.
He left GM in July of 2006 to pursue his calling to become a pastor. He received his
graduate degree from Word of Life School of Ministry in Shreveport in 1991, his
Bachelor’s Degree in Ministerial Studies in 2000 and his Master’s degree in
Psychology and Pastoral Counseling from La. Baptist University Shreveport in May of
2002. Tina also received her graduate degree from Word of Life School of Ministry.
Jerry and Tina have been married for 32 years in January of 2008 and have two children. Steven and his wife Patricia have two daughters: Skye and Emerald.
Stephanie is married to John Phelan and they have two daughters: Abigail and
Emily. Both Steven and Stephanie, and their families, faithfully serve together at
Radiant Life, along with Jerry and Tina.
Jerry and Tina invite you to come and worship with them and the congregation at Radiant
Life, and to receive what God has for you. You have a plan and purpose in God’s
Kingdom and it is their desire to help you become everything that God intended you to be.
Come visit, expecting a blessing – for “God inhabits the praises of His people”. (Psalm 22:3 KJV)
Young Marrieds/College and Career/Youth Pastors
Steven and Patricia Kennedy have been
married since October 2000 and have two daughters: Skye and Emerald.
They are both graduates of Word of Life School of Ministry in Shreveport and are
faithfully serving at Radiant Life Church. Steven is the Young Married’s Pastor,
College and Career Pastor, and the Youth Pastor. He is totally
committed and dedicated to the things of God in his service at Radiant Life.
Patricia is over our Nursery and Children’s Church. She sees
that the needs of the youngest children of God are met with her dedication and commitment
to them. Her gentle, loving spirit reaches out and wraps around our precious ones week after week. Her smile is a comfort that welcomes them into a safe place.
Steven and Patricia are both on fire and radically and totally sold out
to the things of God. They invite you to come and be a part of Radiant Life – from
the youngest, on up to Young Married’s – knowing that God will reach out and touch
even the babies, children and young people because He has a perfect plan for
EVERYONE.
Praise and Worship Ministry
Hospital Coordinator
Missions Coordinator
My name is
Connie Rogé. I began visiting Radiant Life Church in 2003. After almost a year, I made it official and became a member. My husband, Harold, and I have been married for 30 years. It is an honor to share my life with such a wonderful man. We have no children of our own, but have been abundantly blessed by being a part of the lives of many children. I have always wanted to help others because so many special people helped me while growing up. I am happy to serve in the Missions Ministry because the need is great. I believe it will also cause personal growth and make me a better person.
Motorcycle Ministry
Eddie and Elaine Bardwell
have been married for 10 years. Eddie is 51 years old. They attended Word of Life Church for nine years where he sang in the choir for seven years. With the leading of the Holy Spirit, Eddie and Elaine transferred to Radiant Life Church in June of 2007. It just seemed like a perfect fit to have them oversee Rolling Radiant Thunder Motorcycle Ministry. They are working hard to organize our 2nd annual rally and plan special events.
One of Eddie’s favorite scriptures is found in Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)– “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
Sunday School Superintendent
Gloria Rigsby and her husband, Don, were married in 1970. Gloria has always been in the Assembly of God church where she was saved as a young child in the third grade. The passion for teaching started for Gloria with children in the 70’s and has continued throughout her life. She is now an enthusiastic adult teacher and is serving a second time as Sunday School Superintendent. Gloria is a loving grandmother and enjoys spending time with her three wonderful grandchildren. Gloria’s daughter Kelly and son–in–law Troy work together in their church teaching in Children’s Church.
Proverbs 22:6 (NKJV)– “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Men's Ministry
My name is Danny Walker. My wife Barbara and I have three daughters
and three wonderful grandsons. I was born again at the age of twelve and called into the ministry of helps twenty-two years ago. I served
as an usher for eighteen years and as head usher for the past four
years. I have taught Sunday School and Childrens Church and led and
ministered in life groups for fifteen years. The Lord
spoke to my heart during a Sunday School class about starting a Men’s
Ministry. It was a call that is taking me on a journey with promise of much reward.
Ladies Ministry / Executive Support
Angela Dean has been serving as Just for Ladies
President for 4 years as of September 2007. She is 40 something (smile) years old and has
been in church all of her life. Angela has been attending Radiant Life for almost 8 years
now and knew that God sent her to this church for His purpose and plan. She remembers
God’s peace surrounding her when she walked into the doors for the first time. When
asked 4 years ago, how she wanted to make a difference at Radiant Life, she told the
Pastor that she wanted to start a Ladies Ministry. The Pastor gave his blessing and the
plans began. The Holy Spirit is relied on completely for direction in all areas of JFL.
The group of ladies that are 18 years and older is growing and moving forward with
purpose according to all that God has for it.
The person in Angela’s life that she gives credit to for making a difference in who
she is today would be her grandmother, Myrtle. Myrtle went to be with the Lord when
Angela was only 10 years old, but the impact that she made on her taught Angela about
persevering through in prayer. She recalls literally walking behind her grandmother as
she would be crying out to God in prayer. Because of her grandmother’s perseverance
through the tough times and her faithfulness to the house of GOD, Angela takes these
things seriously as well. She says that this has proven to her that we can get a lot into
a child at an early age, if we only will try by setting the right example. Angela loves
writing and has written many poems over the years. She is an intercessor/prayer warrior
and believes that prayer changes things.
One of Angela’s favorite scriptures is
found in 2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)– “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
Senior Citizens Ministry
Doris Lewis is one of those rare individuals with a true servants heart. The genuine humility that possesses her personality will lead her to accept any task. Whether it be menial or in the spotlight, her attitude is exactly the same because her focus is service.
Doris joined the vision of Radiant Life
in the early part of 2007 under the direction of the Holy Spirit. During lunch with Pastors Jerry and Tina (daughter and son-in-law) The Golden RadiaTors was born. She accepted the challenge to lead and immediately went to work
. The fact that she is a hard worker is evidenced by her recent retirement at 70+ years. With time no longer being a major constraint, she hopes to devote herself to the people of God and His will.
Isaiah 1:19 (AMP)– “If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;”
Small Group Ministry
David and Barbara Kitterlin joined Radiant Life in February 2007 and oversee our Small Group Ministry. They previously attended Word of Life Church in Shreveport for ten years where they were trained to lead a small group. In their experience as leaders, they have witnessed God do some great and mighty things.
They are fun to be around and make a dynamite team! Their love of people is evident and you will be blessed to know them. Their dream is that Share and Care Group will grow and branch out forming many small groups. They invite your prayers that the will of God for this ministry be accomplished in power and demonstration producing transformed lives.
Youth Leaders / Puppet Ministry
John and Stephanie Phelan have been
married since May 2007 and have two daughters: Abigail and Emily.
Stephanie is a dental assistant and a graduate of Word of Life School of Ministry in
Shreveport. John is a Shreveport FireFighter. They are both faithfully serving at
Radiant Life as Assistant Youth Leaders and pioneers of our Puppet Ministry.
They both care deeply about the needs of our youth, children, college and career and
young married’s and both serve with commitment and dedication in these areas. John
and Stephanie also do an awesome service in the area of Media and in the Rolling Radiant
Thunder Motorcycle Ministry.
Stephanie and John invite you to come and join with them and the congregation at Radiant
Life to experience all that God is doing in our midst. You too, are very important to the
Kingdom of God and they invite you to come see if Radiant Life might be your home.
